Barclaycard is taking summer time to a whole new level this June with its Better View platform positioned right in the heart of the capital. The seated platform soars 100ft in the air providing visitors with breath taking views of the London skyline and a bird’s-eye view of Hyde Park – all completely free.
With the average day out in London costing well over £100 for a family of four, Barclaycard is helping visitors enjoy the sights without the costly price tag. Anyone can enter Hyde Park and experience a ‘better view’ for free on selected dates - the 19th, 22nd, 23rd, 24th and 25th of June 2015 between 1pm and 5pm - during the mid-week activities of Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park event (this excludes the ticketed music days).
As well as the day time flights which visitors don’t need to pre-book, there are also special evening ‘champagne flights’ which people can book onto for free at http://barclaycard.co.uk/entertainment that take off at 6pm, 7pm and 8pm on the same dates. Teaming up with Champagne House Heidsieck & Co. Monopole, an expert will accompany the guests on the 30 minute flights and give them the opportunity to taste three different award-winning Champagnes from their range - a brut, a rosè, and a Vintage.
Katherine Whitton, Chief Marketing Officer for Barclaycard, said: “We all know that enjoying great views and entertainment around the city usually doesn’t come cheap, so this summer we wanted to offer people something special. The Barclaycard Better View platform gives Londoners access to one of the best views the capital has to offer, completely free of charge.
“For the first time, we have partnered with Heidsieck & Co. Monopole to give people a complimentary champagne masterclass 100ft in the sky – a truly unique experience. This is another way people can enjoy the fantastic mid-week activities of Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park.”
Daytime flights on the Barclaycard Better View platform are available on a first come, first served basis on the 19th, 22nd, 23rd, 24th and 25th of June 2015 (no pre-booking required). Evening champagne flights for the same dates can be booked online at http://barclaycard.co.uk/entertainment
