Rob Cameron

CEO, Global Head of Payment Acceptance

What were your most memorable previous jobs?

Growing up my parents STRONGLY encouraged me to always have a part time job. As a result, I worked at a lot of merchants. This included a butcher shop, clothing store, restaurants, a hotel and even a garden centre. I learned a lot about customer service and also gained insight into the challenges and benefits of being a small business owner.

What was your first job, what did it teach you?

It was a local garden centre. When things were busy I’d help customers chose trees and plants and load them into their cars. When things were’t busy I’d be in the back hand filling bags with soil mixed with manure for sale. I quickly learned it was important to good at helping customers or I’d be sent shovelling.
